I first purchased this item about 6 weeks ago. The sound quality and volume are excellent. It's a very robust and well built speaker. I had an issue where it was running out of charge after a couple of hours. JBL customer service were very quick to reply and most helpful. I returned the speaker to Argos and got a straight swap and this one is absolutely fine. They were also very helpful.

Now, the sound on this is amazing, clear, bassy, reasonably loud.
Plenty of volume for a home/small party, should you want to.
I use this as a portable speaker, and play various styles of music on it, and each sounds good. It dangles of my rollator, and when I'm out alone, I play my music on it, but also try not to be rude!

Great sound from a small unit
I have been really impressed with the sound quality of the unit. It can also deliver a big sound when turned up. I have no issue with Battery life, clearly when played in a louder setting this zaps the battery more. I was listening to some more easy listening for 3 hours and the battery was probably only 25% used. I connected to the speaker in a matter of seconds, couldnt have been easier. Overall very happy with my purchase
Class speaker
It’s small, light, has a good battery for the size of it and the quality is great. It obviously doesn’t get as loud as a massive speaker would but for portability you couldn’t ask for more. This is a speaker that will last you years, you can feel the quality throughout. It’s also easy to connect - doesn’t need an app etc.
Flippin' marvellous JBL Flip Essential 2
I bought this nifty piece of kit a few months ago and am very impressed with it. The richness of the sound is very good together with its compact portability makes it very handy to pair with my TV, iPad or phone to play tunes. The battery life is wonderful, definitely lives up to the advertised 10 hours.
Great speaker
This is my second JBL speaker, I loved the first small one but wanted something a bit beefier and this is a fantastic upgrade. Charge lasts for ages and tge sound is excellent. Lovely, big bassiness, great for any kind of music and warm and rich sounding for spoken word.

Sound quality superb
The sound quality is immense. For such a small speaker it’s hard to believe. I also have a Bose portable speaker and the JBL is as good if not better . The only downside with the flip 2 is that it doesn’t have the multi speaker connectivity. So flip 5 or 6 for me next time.
Very good budget speaker
Bought the speaker about 1 month ago while I was at college and it has been very good. The sound quality is good and the bass is surprising for the size. It is also durable as it survived the 4 hour journey home in my suit case going on and off train and through London.
Brilliant sound
Purchased 2 weeks ago, I've used it many times already.
The sound is fantastic and at lower volume levels the battery is pretty good but I'm not sure it lasts 8 hours. Also the Bluetooth range is minimal at approx 10mts.

We bought this to play music for our daughters birthday party with 30 7 year olds. It did the job brilliantly. Portable, good sound quality and volume, holds charge well. It's since been used for picnics, garden play and general outside time. Definitely recommend.

The quality of sound is good for the price and it’s loud enough. The only downside is the battery life. I was listening to some house music loudly and the battery lasted only about 2.5 hours.
