This is handheld size so can be easily taken on the go. The instructions are really simple to follow and the device is easy to use. I love that this comes with a c to c wire and c to a wire so it can’t be attached to the pc and a phone without needing to buy additional wires. Transferring files is very quick with this the fastest device I’ve used. It holds a whopping amount of files so should last us a while before it’s full! It’s great that you can add passwords to protect your files too! My favourite feature is that it’s build sturdy and claims it resistant to being dropped up to 3m so gives me confidence it won’t break easily if I were to drop it on the move.
Super quick, durable, small portable SSD.
This Samsung 1TB portable SSD is excellent. Light weight and size of a credit card, 13mm thick. Well made very durable hence the name Shield, it’s wrapped in a rubber exterior for protection if dropped 3 metres from a height or protects from lower pressure water / droplets. USB 3.0 very quick file transfer 1000MB plus transfer speed. Comes with two types of cables usb type c to type c and usb to type c. Will be transferring everything over from older external HDD to this one should not take long. Works well with your tablets and gaming consoles and other devices. Definitely Recommended
Loads of space
Connected this to my laptop as soon as it arrived, very easy to use - brought the folder up straight away for the T7, and had the application ready for me to install. Once loaded it gave me to option to set up with or without a password for extra security.
Simple to transfer documents and files - I transferred 1204 documents straight away in a matter of seconds and not even scratched the memory that is left. The 1TB will be more than enough.
Also provides the wires to connect to an android phone and make transferring files better.

Smaller than I expected it to be, very light and lovely blue colour. Soft, rubbish feel to it. Came with 2 leads, USB and USB-C which I think is really good, as it gives everyone the option.
I keep all my photos (10,000+) and wedding video on it as my laptop is older now. I like to make sure I have back ups! It holds everything that I require.
Just plug it into your laptop and connected automatically. Transfer of my photos and videos was quick. I have had other portable SSD and they never transferred as quickly.

Fast and Reliable
I bought this about 6 months ago (November 2023) as a backup drive for my laptop and it's been really good. No problems at all and very fast transfer and write speeds. Capacity is a little less than a TB - partly because of SSD over-provisioning for bad block replacement, firmware upgrades etc. and the way manufacturers have switched to using 1000 bytes = 1 kilobyte rather than the traditional 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte when measuring capacity. However all manufacturers do it so no point in dropping a star for it.
Samsung Genius Hard Drive
I have been after a hard drive for quite some time as I need to store my photos and videos of places where I have been with my family. My MacBook has a limited amount of storage and this is a wonder to have. It’s very easy to set up, very fast and secure (256 bit hardware encrypted password protection)(connections to Apple and Android phones and other devices) and has connections for USB C also. It is water and dust resistant and can withstand falls of up to 3 metres!! Quality Piece of kit.
Was fast at saving family photos
Bought this to save a copy of 20 years worth of digital photos and scanned in family photos from when I was little! Now stored in a fire resistant box, just in case the worst happens. The 262 Giga B's took a while as I filed year by year. But actual transfer was seriously fast. Only concern was some old video's could be copied over but not all the attributes could be copied over, assume this is old MOV and VLC file compatibility issues. Have to look at that separately.

This external storage device was smaller and more portable than I had expected. It's lightweight and comes with USB C-C and C-A cables. I tried moving data from a Chromebook and an Android phone, both were easy and fast. There are minimal instructions provided, but everything was self-explanatory. The coating on the device stops it sliding, which is a useful design feature. I'd recommend this product as it's well designed, functional and easy to use.

Love this Samsung hard drive, I’ve found it reliable and fast so far and feel it’s safe enough to store confidential files for work.
The build is slick, it weighs enough to feel that it’s good quality yet it fits in my laptop bag perfectly. It has an almost rubberised feel so no concerns about it sliding around the desk or me dropping it.
I’d have preferred black to match my laptop and other accessories but the blue is stylish.
Excellent portable, fast and drop resistant SSD
I bought this SSD as computer backup and compared with older types that store information on a rotating disc they do the job quickly but actual speed achieved will depend on the connected product. Being totally solid state they should be reliable too. Compact enough to easily carry around in a pocket makes them extra useful and so the only down side is the price, although Argos are competitive and convenient.
Excellent SSD drive for a mac
I got this for my dad, to replace and update his old mechanical backup hard drive. He has an iMac and it was very straight-forward to use. Plug in, reformat...and done. He likes the blue casing too, as it stands out very easily on a desk, compared to the more common black cases. So theres little chance of mistaking it for something else and accidentally knockibg or damaging it. All in all, great purchase!
Small but worth every penny
This portage storage device is small but looks good, has a nice texture feel to it (not velvet), fast and works really good. I have used it to increase my xbox storage space and it formatted really quickly and have had no issues with using it. I really like that it can be password protected and the inside packaging was more sophisticated than other storage devices i've previously had.

The SSD is super quick at transferring and viewing files. The casing feels durable and the included USB C to C and C to A cables are really handy. I bought this using a black friday deal so got it at an amazing price. Only concern for me was that it arrived looking like the box had already been opened as there were small bits of fluff on the SDD and cables.

It's a very compact SSD, plenty of storage space, with a protective casing to help withstand accidental bumps, knocks and drops. Comes with a 3 YEAR Samsung Warranty, so don't bother paying extra for the pointless 'protection' that Argos will try and sell you when you have this in your basket/collect from a store!
Works perfectly
I am very happy with this purchase. Although the first time I ordered it, Argos cancelled the order after one day without giving a reason. I ordered again as i really wanted this product and it didn't fail to perform. It is incredibly fast and silent. Its smaller than I imagined which makes it very portable!

That's an amazing fast SSD T7 external hard drive from Samsung I've bought from Argos.
Comming in great packaging with two usb ports for type c and the normal one. Very fast in transfering data and obviously the drive is securely resistant against water and dust with an IP65 rating.
Does what it says
I am using this as a backup for my laptop whilst travelling. I have only backed up so far, haven't tried restoring, but it doesn't take long to backup any personal data. I only gave 4 stars because I haven't tested it to its full capability yet, as I needed to use it straight away.
Fantastic and great size
I bought this a few weeks ago making the move windows to Mac it reads on both devices and comes with a usb connector and type c to c so it works with any device and is Ludacrisly fast, will be using this as my main external hdd and it’s such a small form factor works like a charm

Is fast, compact and durable. And storage is enough for me. It’s expensive and I wish it could be 2TB for this price but if you get on sale it’s worth it in my opinion. After purchasing I realised Samsung are on the boycott list. So more reason to buy second hand instead.
