Samsung Jet 65 Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

SAMSUNG

Anyone who shares a home with a shedding cat or dog knows the drill: you vacuum in the morning, and by evening it looks like you never touched the carpet. The Samsung Jet 65 Pet was built with exactly that frustration in mind.

It's a cordless stick vacuum that positions itself as a genuine daily workhorse rather than a gadget you drag out once a week — light enough to use one-handed, strong enough to lift embedded pet hair out of carpet fibres, and versatile enough to convert into a handheld unit for the car or the sofa. The question this review answers is simple: does it actually deliver on that promise, or is it another cordless vacuum that looks great on paper and disappoints in the hallway?

Design and Build Quality

The first thing you notice picking this vacuum up is how little effort it takes. At 2.3 kilograms for the full stick configuration, it's noticeably lighter than the corded uprights many households are replacing, and that weight saving matters far more than it sounds. A vacuum you can lift and carry up a flight of stairs without your arm tiring is a vacuum you'll actually reach for daily, rather than saving for the weekend deep clean.

The frame stands at 112 cm tall with a slim 25 x 20.3 cm footprint at the base, which keeps it manoeuvrable in tight spots like under dining chairs or beside furniture legs. When detached from the wand, the handheld body itself weighs closer to 1.5 kilograms, making it genuinely comfortable for one-handed jobs like clearing hair off a car seat or a sofa cushion without your wrist protesting halfway through.

One practical design detail worth flagging: the vacuum does not stand upright on its own without the charging dock attached. If you're planning to lean it against a wall between quick cleans rather than mounting the dock, be aware it can topple over — the dock isn't just a charging accessory, it functions as the vacuum's resting stand too.

Storage and the Wall-Mount Dock

The included wall-mount docking station does double duty as both charger and storage point, which is a smart piece of engineering for smaller homes without a utility cupboard to spare. Mount it near an entryway or under-stairs space and the vacuum becomes a grab-and-go tool rather than something buried in a closet. Some owners have noted they'd prefer an angled slide-in motion for docking rather than the straight vertical approach this model uses, which is a minor ergonomic quibble rather than a functional flaw.

Suction Power and Real-World Cleaning Performance

At the heart of the Jet 65 Pet is a digital inverter motor capable of drawing up to 150 watts of suction, backed by a system that channels air through nine separate cyclones and 27 air inlets before it reaches the filter. In plain terms: rather than relying on one big fan pulling air through a single path, the airflow is split and accelerated through many small chambers, which helps the vacuum maintain strong pickup even as the dust bin starts to fill — a common weak point in cheaper cordless models where suction visibly drops off after just a few minutes of use.

In practice, this translates to genuinely confident performance on the surfaces most pet owners struggle with. It's rated as suitable across the full range of home flooring:

Carpets & rugs
Deep pile & wool carpet
Hard floors
Laminate
Upholstery
Stairs

Independent hands-on impressions consistently single out the suction as a highlight, describing the pickup on both carpet and hard floors as strong and the machine as noticeably more effective than older corded models it's replacing in many households.

The Motorised Floor Head

The included floor head is motorised rather than passive, meaning the brush bar spins under its own power to actively agitate carpet fibres and lift out ground-in dirt, rather than relying purely on suction to pull debris upward. It includes a button-adjustable switch between carpet and hard floor modes, so you're not stuck fumbling with a manual dial mid-clean — a small feature that matters a lot when you're switching between a rug and the kitchen tile in the same session.

Power Boost Mode: The Trade-Off to Understand

There's a power boost setting that increases suction for stubborn spots — trodden-in dirt, matted pet hair, deep pile carpet. It's effective, but it comes with an important caveat that buyers should know going in: running in boost mode draws down the battery dramatically faster than the standard setting. Several real-world user accounts report boost-mode runtime closer to 15–20 minutes rather than the headline 40, which is a meaningful gap worth planning around if you have a larger home and expect to lean on maximum power throughout.

Battery Life and Charging: What "Up to 40 Minutes" Really Means

The removable battery is rated for up to 40 minutes of runtime on a full charge, which is enough for most one- to two-bedroom homes to be cleaned top to bottom in a single session, provided you're not running in boost mode the entire time. That 40-minute figure is measured at the lowest power setting with a non-motorised tool attached — worth knowing, because it means real-world runtime on the motorised floor head at higher power settings will typically fall short of that number.

A full recharge takes about 3.5 hours, and a low-battery indicator gives you fair warning rather than letting the vacuum die mid-room. Because the battery is removable, owning a spare lets you effectively double your cleaning window without waiting out a recharge — a genuinely useful option for larger homes, multi-storey houses, or anyone with more than one pet contributing to the mess. It's worth noting that Argos does not sell replacement batteries directly for this model, so a spare would need to be sourced through Samsung.

On longevity: the battery is designed to retain around 70% of its original capacity after 500 full charge cycles, which at a rough daily-use pace translates to well over a year of regular cleaning before you'd notice a meaningful drop in runtime.

Filtration: Built With Allergy Sufferers in Mind

For households with pets, dust and dander are often just as much of a concern as visible hair, and this is where the Jet 65 Pet does some of its best work. The multi-layered, multi-cyclonic filtration system is designed to trap fine dust particles before the exhaust air is released back into the room, with the washable HEPA filter forming the final stage that catches the smallest, most allergy-triggering particles. Because the filter is washable rather than a disposable cartridge, ongoing costs stay low — you simply rinse it periodically to keep suction from degrading, rather than budgeting for replacement filters every few months.

For anyone in the household who deals with pet allergies, this level of filtration is a meaningful selling point beyond simple hair pickup. It's not just moving fur off the floor — it's reducing the dander and fine dust that actually trigger allergic reactions in the first place.

Emptying and Everyday Maintenance

The dust bin holds 0.8 litres, which strikes a reasonable balance for a vacuum this size — big enough that you're not emptying it after every single room, small enough to keep the overall unit light. For a multi-pet household doing a full-house clean in one session, expect to empty it at least once partway through, particularly if the carpets have gone a while between cleans.

Versatility: One Tool, Several Jobs

Where this vacuum earns its keep is in how easily it shifts from full-size stick to compact handheld. Detach the wand and floor head, and you're left with a lightweight handheld unit ready for the car interior, stair treads, curtains, or upholstery — no second appliance required. The tool kit that ships with it covers the situations pet owners actually run into:

  • Pet Tool — designed specifically to lift fine, hard-to-see pet hair off fabric and upholstery, combining a rubber nozzle with bristles so hair doesn't just get pushed around
  • Jet Fit Brush — a rotating brush attachment for more thorough agitation on carpet and upholstery
  • Crevice nozzle — for tight gaps like between sofa cushions or along skirting boards
  • Upholstery nozzle — broader coverage for sofas, mattresses, and car seats
  • Combination floor nozzle — a general-purpose head for quick jobs
  • Extension crevice tool — extra reach for high or awkward spots like curtain rails or behind radiators

One detail worth knowing if hair-wrap has frustrated you with previous vacuums: the pet tool's bristle design is built to funnel hair toward the centre where a small cutting mechanism chops it before it can wind itself around the brush. It won't eliminate wrap entirely on every hair type, but it's a genuine engineering response to a problem that plagues cheaper pet-focused vacuums.

One notable absence: there's no flexible or bendable wand section, so reaching fully under low sofas or beds relies on the floor head's own reach rather than a flex joint. If under-furniture access is a priority for you, that's a limitation worth weighing.

Who This Vacuum Is For

  • You own one or more pets and deal with regular shedding on carpets, rugs, or upholstery
  • You want a single vacuum that also converts to handheld for the car, stairs, and furniture
  • Someone in your household has allergies and benefits from genuine HEPA-level filtration
  • You live in a small-to-mid-sized home where a 40-minute runtime realistically covers a full clean
  • You want a lightweight vacuum you'll actually use daily rather than dread lifting

Who Should Look Elsewhere

  • You have a large, multi-storey home and need extended runtime at full power without a spare battery
  • Noise sensitivity is a major concern — at 86 decibels, this runs on the louder end for a domestic cordless vacuum, comparable to a loud conversation or busy street noise, and it's a point several owners specifically flag as the machine's weakest area
  • You need a flexible, bendable wand to get under very low furniture
  • You want a vacuum that visibly stands upright on its own without the dock attached

How It Stacks Up Against the Competition

Cordless stick vacuums in this general price bracket span a wide range of approaches. Here's how the Jet 65 Pet compares to the kind of alternatives a shopper would realistically be weighing it against:

Consideration Samsung Jet 65 Pet Entry-level Dyson-style cordless Premium cordless (Dyson V15 / Shark Stratos tier)
Typical price positioning Mid-range Similar to slightly below Notably higher
Weight 2.3 kg Comparable, around 2.5 kg Similar or slightly heavier with added tech
Runtime Up to 40 min (lower on boost) Around 40 min Often 60+ min, especially with dual-battery options
Filtration Washable HEPA, multi-cyclonic Typically HEPA-equivalent HEPA plus advanced sealed systems
Handheld conversion Yes Yes Yes
Anti hair-wrap design Partial (pet tool only) Varies by model Often a dedicated brush-roll feature
Extra features Power boost, spare-battery support Motorbar auto-detangling on some models Laser dust detection, LED displays, sensor-adjusted suction

The takeaway: the Jet 65 Pet holds its own against entry-level rivals on the fundamentals — weight, runtime, and filtration are all competitive — but it doesn't try to match the sensor-driven extras and extended dual-battery runtimes that push the premium tier's pricing so much higher. For a household that wants strong, reliable pet-hair performance without paying for laser displays and app connectivity, that's a sensible trade-off rather than a shortcoming.

Strengths and Weaknesses, Honestly

Strengths

The case for this vacuum rests on fundamentals executed well. The suction genuinely holds up on both carpet and hard floors, the weight makes it a vacuum you'll pick up without a second thought, and the filtration is thorough enough to matter for allergy sufferers, not just a marketing checkbox. The handheld conversion is smooth and the accessory kit covers real scenarios pet owners face rather than padding out a box with tools nobody uses. Multiple hands-on accounts describe it favourably against older corded machines it's replacing, particularly on manoeuvrability and general suction strength.

Weaknesses

The honest weaknesses centre on two areas. First, noise: at 86 decibels, this is a vacuum you'll hear throughout the house, and it's consistently the aspect owners rate lowest even when they're otherwise happy with performance. Second, the gap between advertised and real-world battery life on boost mode is significant enough to plan around — if you're counting on 40 minutes of maximum-power cleaning for a larger home, you'll likely fall short and need either a spare battery or a more measured approach to which rooms get the boost setting.

It's also worth being clear-eyed about the warranty structure. While the vacuum itself carries a manufacturer's 5-year guarantee, that full term typically requires registering the product within a set window after purchase, and the battery itself carries a shorter 2-year warranty — a nuance that's easy to miss and worth acting on promptly after buying.

The Verdict

For the pet-owning household that wants one lightweight, genuinely capable vacuum rather than a corded upright plus a separate handheld for the car, the Samsung Jet 65 Pet earns its place on the shortlist. It handles the core job — lifting embedded pet hair and dust off carpet and hard floors alike — with real conviction, backs it up with filtration that actually matters for allergy sufferers, and converts to handheld duty without friction. Go in with realistic expectations about boost-mode runtime and the noise level, and this is a vacuum built to become part of your daily routine rather than a machine reserved for the occasional deep clean.

Absolutely love my new vaccum cleaner!

I purchased this Samsung Jet 60 Turbo cordless vaccum cleaner in the model VS15A6031R4/EU and I am absolutely in love with it. The machine comes in a variety of beautiful colours (Teal Mint/Teal violet and Teal Silver). I went for the colour Teal Violet. This fantastic product comes with many incredible features for example: a digital inverter motor which helps to create a strong suction, 99.9% multi layered filtration system which helps to suck up any micro dirts laying around this also helps improve the air quality, a completely washable dustbin which is easy to remove and empty, 2in1 charging station which I find is outstanding as it gives you the choice of placing wherever you want in the property and a removable and long lasting battery life of 40minutes which is perfect for cleaning the whole house. In the box of this vaccum cleaner it includes a battery charger, pipe, battery; extension crevice tool, wall mount, jet fit brush, combination tool and a mini motorised tool. My favourite part about this high quality product is how smooth and swiftly it runs on my laminate flooring, carpet and rugs. It certainly vaccums extremely well and I would definitely recommend this to all my family and friends. It’s easy to hold, use and control. I also love how there are different modes to the vacuuming which can easily be adjusted simply by using the +/- buttons located on the top below the power button. It is even more of a golden purchase as there’s no more plugging and unplugging from room to room, as I had a wired vaccum. This has definitely saved me a lot of time during my daily cleaning! I mounted my gorgeous vaccum cleaner in my hallway using the provided wall mount which I found was really easy to put up. It also complements my hallway theme as it’s modern, sleek and eye catching.

Very strong vacuum cleaner. it sucks very well.

I have had this vacuum cleaner for a few weeks and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I think this is definitely worth the money. I was never a vacuum cleaner fan and to begin with I was bit confused as to how much I would use it, however I have to say this has made cleaning so much more easy and quick for me that I know I have made the right choice. Never without one again! It's very simple to set up, and easy to clean - probably one of the great perks as you don't need to get bags or such, you can just clean the filter or accompanying accessories, and there are clear instructions in the booklet as to how to do that. It cleans the floor/carpet very well, there are no residues left. Especially on carpets I noticed it vacuums a lot out of it and I don't even use the full power mode! Before buying it I noted that a few people commented on the battery not lasting long - I think this can be true however it depends on what power mode you use. I tend to use the medium power setting, this allows me to vacuum clean for about 20-30 minutes my downstairs house. I have tried using the strongest power setting and that lasts less, probably 5-7 minutes, but it cleans excellent If you want to clean your whole property I'd suggest using a medium setting otherwise if you need to clean a specific area and want a deep clean, then go full power but in that case the battery will not last as long. I don't personally see this as a major downside I think it's a matter of preference, and probably the area you are cleaning. I can't really think of anything else to mention but if you are reading this and are questioning whether to get it or not, I would say definitely do so. It's affordable and works really well, and you also got 5 years guarantee! Great purchase.

Great cordless vac

This is an excellent cordless vac.. it’s packaged in quite a small box that should fit in any car. It comes in several pieces but is easy to assemble as everything just clicks into place. It feels very good quality which i expect from Samsung. The 150 watt digital inverter motor is pretty quiet compared to our previous well known brand and is powerful enough for most jobs. We have a mixture of long and short pile carpets, wooden and vinyl flooring and it only struggles a little on the really thick deep pile carpet we have and can also push some of larger debris around on hard floors so you have to lift the vac over them to pick them up, not too much of an issue as it’s light enough, having a motorised floor head also helps with this. We can get round our whole house on one charge as the vac can last up to 40 mins on the lowest of the two settings and 5 minutes on full power. One of the best features is that the vac has an on/off button rather than a trigger which makes it so much easier to use than some other brands. Other good features include removable battery, washable dustbin and a removable brush roll so you can easily remove hair etc that’s wrapped around it. The vac is charged via the charging station which is designed to be wall mounted for ease of use, not a problem for us as we had the perfect place for it, it also holds the two accessories which is great as you don’t have to find somewhere to store them. The vac takes around 3 hours to charge from empty. We have been using the vac every day as it’s so easy and convenient to use and we are now only using our corded full size vac once a week. Overall we have been very impressed with the vac and we now have a cleaner house to show for it..

Best cordless vacuum cleaner

I have Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner and I purchased Samsung cordless one for my daughter because it was such a good deal. I wanted to test it before I give it to my daughter. I know that Samsung is a good company and trusted it would be good. However, it was beyond my expectation and I decided to use it myself. I used Dyson, Shark before and I could compare those 3 cordless ones. Among those, no doubt, Samsung is the best.
1. It seems it has most modern technology.
2. It is so quiet compared with others.
3. It's time for use is longer and less charging time.
4. It picks up any small dusts as it has HEPA filter and it would be great when we have house renovation in the near future.
5. It has much bigger quantity for waste and I don't have to empty the dust so often.
6. It looks very modern with very sleek design.

Lastly, it comes with 5 year warranty! So I stopped using Dyson and now do love using Samsung instead. It was the best purchase and I am going to buy another one for my daughter. Very happy customer!

Impressive

I’m one of the lucky one’s to try Samsung jet 60 series cordless hoover which has exceeded my expectations. It is stylish, modern, futuristic and very light weight. It comes with 3 different attachments , battery and charging dock. The instructions provided were very simple to help set it up for the first use.
It’s very good quality with different suction levels which can be easily adjusted with +/- buttons and it's easy to change different attachments with just click of a button.
I have used it over hard flooring , rugs and over thick carpets but it never disappoints and maintained its suction.
The jet fit brush rotates in 360' so makes it easier to clean hard to reach areas.
The best part for me is that it’s dustbin is fully washable and easier to maintain.
I will give it 5 stars and definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hoover that is stylish , modern and effective.

Wow

Easy to set up from the clear instructions provided.
Charging dock can be walk mounted or stand alone.
Very speedy to change attachments, just click and go! I was finally able to reach the big void at the top of the stairs to banish cobwebs.
On/off button so no need to hold down a trigger the whole time while in use.
Suction can be +/- in seconds however, suction increase will use the battery faster, medium suction was powerful enough.
No fuss transfer between carpet and hard floor.
I vacuumed my house the day before with my old vacuum, after using the Samsung Jet for 10 minutes it's dustbin was full, shocking how much my old vacuum missed!!
Easy to empty dustbin, again, just a couple of clicks.
What would I change? I wish the dustbin was bigger & I'd prefer more run time so I'll definitely be purchasing an extra battery.

Surprisingly Powerful & Super Convenient!

I’ve been using my Samsung cordless vacuum for some months now, and I honestly don’t know how I managed without it. It’s lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, and powerful enough to handle everything from pet hair to crumbs on both carpets and hard floors.

The battery life is more than enough for a full clean of my flat, and I love how easy it is to empty the dustbin no mess, no fuss. The different attachments make it perfect for getting into corners, upholstery, and even the car. Plus, it looks sleek and modern, so I don’t mind it being out in the open.

Overall, it’s made cleaning faster and a lot less of a chore. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something efficient, stylish, and cordless. Total game changer!

AlanV Nov 16, 2024

Very impressed.

We brought this a few weeks ago as our old one (Shark) was working but suction had deteriorated (cleaning filters didn’t improve it). Glad we did as this is, so far, is much superior.
I was a bit concerned about the battery life as other reviewers had mentioned this, but please realise that it has 3 power settings - when you turn it on its default is ‘mid’ power. Drop it down to low and it still works great, plus extends the battery life. It’s used on both hard floors and low pile rugs, and I’ve yet to find any negatives.
Easy to empty and seems very sturdy. I chose it as it doesn’t fold in the middle as some do, and often that fold point ends up with a lot of flex over time. Definitely recommend.

Light, easy to change attachments

I have had this product for a little over a month now and only fully charged it twice. The pros are its light weight, easy attachment changing and easy dust disposal. The metal filter has holes so small not much gets past it to the HEPA filter, detachable battery allowing purchase of a new one when it no longer holds charge, the main reason for this purchase my Bosch had a runtime of 30 seconds after several years service and it is really quiet compared to others I have had. The cons, there is only one, the dust barrel plastic is really thin, flexible even, so its best to be careful so the product has a long life.

Capers May 24, 2021

Cordless turbo

I previously owned a Dyson which was too heavy and the battery life was poor. This, however, is the opposite. It goes together smoothly and effortlessly and works well on laminate, rugs and carpet with no difficulties. The weight is mainly the battery but it’s not as heavy as my previous cordless. Having no trigger to constantly squeeze is also a plus and the manual power adjustment is easy to operate and actually is rarely needed as the suction is so good. You don’t feel like it’s a big workout pushing this thing around and the charging base and additional tool holder is ideal.

Yells bells May 17, 2022

Simply superb

I bought the Samsung jet 60 vacuum cleaner to use in an awkward utility / back door area. However, it’s so powerful and efficient that I’ve used it throughout the house each day leaving my main, heavy vacuum redundant. I can’t recommend the Samsung highly enough. I’ve used a main competitor recently and found it did not compare with the suction found on this model. It’s so light too it really has been a life changing purchase: it moves easily from hard floors to carpets with an additional turbo boost feature where required. Excellent value for money too.

Great suction

Chose this samsung stick vacuum based on other reviews and in the hope that it would get all the cat hairs off my carpet. It does so very impressively and I've hoovered a 2 bed house twice so far without needing a recharge. Time will tell if it maintains this power. Much quieter than previous Bosch. Knocked one star off as cylinder seems a little thin and flimsy and it's tricky to remove for emptying with one hand - other hand needs to keep release button pressed. Already dropped it while doing so hence concern about flimsiness.

honeydia Sep 8, 2025

Easy to use and great battery life.

Bought this a month ago. Cheaper than a lot of other handheld vacuums but works really well across both hard floors and carpets. Doesn’t scratch our wood floors. Battery life is surprisingly good, it runs out more quickly on a higher power but on the standard setting I can do pretty much our whole house. The pet attachment is great for picking up hairs (which our dog seems to have plenty of).

My only gripe is that the attachments etc are a little more clunky to fit than other vacuums I’ve tried.

Overall would recommend!

Great cordless vacuum

Very effective vacuum even on default "Medium" / Eco setting. Amazing what it picks up off our carpets (we have dogs & cats). Relatively quiet on medium setting. As all cordless vacuums, battery gets used very quickly if power turned up to Max (but seems not to be needed for most use !). Powered head works really well. Very ergonomic / easy to hold & no need to continue holding "on" switch as on some other makes. Easy to empty, filters seem to work well.
Very glad we bought this vac - especially with 20% discount !

JoBo Nov 7, 2023

lightweight easy to use

I chose this vacuum cleaner as its easy to use lightweight and all parts are completely washable unlike my other cleaner which is a lot heavier which I find hard to move around and only some parts are washable. The instructions are in picture form and are quite easy to follow. It doesn't hold a lot, but that better for me as its easy to empty. I have only used the vacuum cleaner a few times so far, but it seems to hold its battery quite well.

Great cordless vacuum

After reviewing several cordless vacuums, this came out the
Best overall vacuum to purchase and what with 30% off in argos, it made it great value
For the money. What can I say, it is fabulous and wished I'd bought a cordless
Vacuum cleaner sooner, so easy to use, variable suction speeds, complete with all the attachments that you need. Definitely recommend this samsung vacuum, lightweight and easy to handle. I am converted!!

NICKY Jan 30, 2024

decent Hoover

Bought this to replace my Dyson cordless. It’s light weight and the battery does last a little bit longer Then my Dyson used to. Suction is good on flooring and carpets. I did find that on my stair carpet which is thick. It didn’t quite lift the pile up as much as I was hoping too, even using it on full power and using the pet tool. Other than that I would recommend it. Its a good hoover and a lot cheaper than the Dyson.

the cleaner Jun 22, 2022

Better than my old Dyson

Better than my old Dyson and a lot cheaper! Bought this as I needed a model with on/off button as hand injury means I can't use a trigger handle anymore. Samsung quality you'd expect, fairly quiet and easy tool connection. Also comes with variable power options. Copes with pet hair really well. My only issue - would be good if it came with a spare micro filter as they do take a long time to dry after washing.

Love it!!

I was looking for a lightweight vacuum cleaner as I find a lot of them are way too heavy and awkward to use. I was shown this one in Currys and liked the lightness and style of it. After reading reviews which were very good I bought it from Argos as they had stock and Currys didn't. I was immediately impressed by the power it has. I Couldn't believe what it picked up on first use!

Izzy Sep 16, 2021

Generally very good, however......

On first impressions this is a very light, easy to use and efficient vacuum cleaner and would have given 5 stars. Amazed at how much it picks up even on what I thought was a clean carpet. However if you are after an anti hair wrap this is not for you. I was disappointed at having to clean the brushes after each use due to hair and cotton strands wrapped around the bristles.
