Bought to replace old action camera, considered GoPro but they tend to over heat, and are too expensive.
So I bought this and it's amazing, duel touch screen gives you total control from selfie recording to normal recording.
Ability to quickly record in slow motion and to edit what you dont need, software for it is good too.
Only draw back is that you need to install all software from a QR code and that means allowing installation from external sources and untrusted sources.
Also the software is only available to be used on a android device not a PC
Videos can be uploaded to your phone via Mimi app or via cable to PC.
Battery close to dieing if recording for more than an hour on 1080p at 60fps, so buy another battery otherwise.

Wow, love this camera
I absolutely love this little action camera. It was so easy to set up! Straight out of the box you insert the memory card and the battery; switch it in and it displays a QR code for you to easily download the app. The camera is ready to use within a few short minutes. The back screen is touch screen and it so easy to navigate all the options and to switch from still to video. There is also the options for Timelapse and slow motion.
The magnet connection is genius! So simple to take apart for storing. Also the option to have the camera mounted in landscape or portrait. Again what a simple but brilliant idea.
I find this a lot easier to use than the GoPro and the image and video quality it produces is soo impressive. Also the app is really easy to use so you can download it all direct to your phone.
Pricey but Stabilisation is great for cycling
Really good camera and 4k/120fps is impressive but for me the options on image stabilisation are the best feature. Whilst cycling on UK roads an older sports camera (Hero 5) really struggles with the constant bumps, this thing is silky smooth. If you want you can turn on a horizon lock so it takes out the lean on corners entirely but TBH I prefer the feel of the regular stabilisation and keeps the lean. :)
Battery lasted 90mins on a 2.7K/50fps ride. Voice control isn't perfect when it's windy but eventually works, it just means you need to check it's recording when you think it should be.
Im not sure Action 4 is as reliable as my Action 3
I have owned an Action 3 for nearly a year now and everything about it has been satisfying. Therefore, I recently decided to buy the 4 as the price difference wasn’t that much and also had better night vision. I primarily use them for my road safety on my bicycles and prefer mounting one on the back and one on the front. However, the 4 overheated on day 1 of using it (pics attached), which I’d read nothing about this In reviews, tbh that was the reason I never consider GoPro 12 (according to multiple reviews). So I of course immediately returned it.
This is a bargain
I was out geocaching to film one of my event videos in a town away from where I live, and to my horror, I had forgotten my main camera at home. I needed something quickly and affordable. Luckily, the local Argos had a good discount on this last-generation action camera, and it saved my day. I was able to record good-quality video, and it was very easy to use. I now keep it in my backpack. I did have to order a selfie stick separately, as this combo is the cheapest option on the market and doesn’t include one.
A lot for the money
I wanted something small with 4k video and image stabilisation for vlogging. It aldo features water resistant.
The ability to use automatic exposure as well as pro mode for more control is very appealing.
It's very easy to use and access the advanced functions.
You do have to download the app to be able to activate the device. I'd prefer it was optional.
Lots of accessories available, but you can easily spend more than the camera cost.
Excellent camera for action footage
I bought this a month ago and most pleased that it exceeds expectations. Its small size packs a powerful punch with good quality video, photos and timelapse. Like with all these things, you need to take time for the best settings but the menu is easy to navigate and the auto settings are pretty strong. This replaced my original Cosmo pocket (gimbal camera) and although the OSMO Action 4 does this internally, it is great and matches that.
Excellent build quality and a reasonable price
I've had the DJI Osmo Action-4 camera for a couple of weeks now and after feeling initially a bit underwhelmed by the video performance, once I got a mini tripod and a large clip (for the rucksack), I have to say that I'm blown away by it. Really pleased with the solid build quality too. The menus and general interface has been really well thought out. Plenty of scope to create custom shooting profiles.
Returned - unable to activate due to DJI software
I consulted the DJI support team and they were unable to assist with activation. You have to activate the camera before use, the activation requires software which is not available on the Playstore. I downloaded the software from the DJI website onto two different devices, the software ran and connected to the DJI server but wouldn't activate the camera. After a week, I gave up and returned the camera.
Fantastic camera
Bought this to film a family holiday and have for future use. Absolutely thrilled with the camera. Video stabilisation is brilliant. Sound is great too with no additional microphone add on. Battery life lasts as described but worth having a spare. Easy little camera to carry around with you and works exactly as expected. Highly recommend
The camera gets quickly hot and stops recording
I mounted the camera on the internal side of my car’s windscreen and drove around to check the quality of the video. Unfortunately it stopped recording after 16-18minutes as it was showing a warning of equipment being too hot and unable to record. I am not sure if that’s a faulty item or just the poor quality of the DJI camera.
Fantastic reliable action camera
Great at reliability and versatility in image. Small and easy to handle. Magnetic mount is a big advantage. Battery is powerful and doesn't overheat. Only downside is the distortion in image due to wide angle lens. The battery doors are a bit weak so needs to be secured when underwater. Also great to connect with dji mic
Super camera, but………
You need to be sure that (if you intend downloading video to your computer) the specs on your PC are high enough to do the video justice. I would suggest 16GB ram is essential and a 1.7 processor speed likewise. I really like the ease of use of the Osmo Action 4 and can certainly recommend it. Great value for money.
Small, compact and water proof
This is a good item that works very well. It takes time to learn everything, and I have watched many videos about setting it up. I am 66, so it is best if you have a younger mind, as some things are way over my head. Filming birds was my aim, and you can control it from your phone. Being waterproof is a big plus.
Superb camera
Brought 2 of these for an action POV video. Amazing quality. Good level of options to adjust lighting. Good level of stabilisation with different degrees which work surprisingly well. Sound is very good but suffers from a little bit of wind noise. Nothing that can’t be sorted out in post.

Feature packed, quality camera
Bought to replace my Osmo Action 3, for motorcycle vlogging. The Osmo Action 4 will connect to the DJI Mic Mini without the need for a receiver, and the whole package produces excellent quality video’s, it’s not just me that thinks that, my subscribers do too.
Great camera that produces pro-level video
This is more than just an action camera. It can work as a vlogging camera, a main camera. It shoots 10-bit video so it is more capable than cameras that cost 5 times is price. Delivery was great too. A week earlier than anticipated.
Good product
I bought this product a month ago and I'm happy with the quality of the footage that I'm managing to take. Good video Stabilisation, good sound and very happy with the clip-o bracket. The only downside, so far is the battery life.

This was such a fabulous camera and was really effective using it under the water I adore how clear the camera was and how taking action shots on my bike are done in real time and watching back you feel like your actually their!
