I have never owned a cordless cacuum before but wanted one to complement my corded SEBO (a very good upright but not suited to stairs). REASONS FOR BUYING a HENRY: 1) I decided on a bagged vacuum because the "benefit" of cordless/battery vacuums - the absence of dust bags - seemed to be over-rated if not unfounded because the makers of so many bagless machines now offer docking stations as recepticles for the dust simply becuas ethey can be very dirty to empty. 2) WHY HENRY? As a small-time landlord (now retired) I have owned six Henry corded vacuums and have experienced near-perfect RELIABILITY from them over 18 years, something which is very important to me. That said I have not owned this Henry Pet for long enough to give any longer-term feed-back. 3) INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: it seems well made and reasonably robust; it also seems to do what is expected of it reasonably well but I am unable to offer a comparison with any other make. One surprise is that it is not controlled by an ON/OFF trigger switch (as I expected) but via a little button on the top of the hand-held part. However this seems to work well but maybe not with as much control as a trigger switch would offer. That said trigger switches can be unreliable after heavy use. 4) Battery is easily removed when needed but I have reservations about the plastic doccking station (wall bracket) which I think should have provision for a 2nd battery, whether or not one is sought at time of initial purchase; 5) Suction seems reasonably good thus far but I am unable to make a comparison with any other make(s). 6) the bag capacity seems perfectly adequate thus far. 7) As a rating of 4.5 stars is not available I have to err in favour of 5 stars (despite the limitations vis-a-vis provision for a 2nd battery).
The usual 1st class standard of Henry!
I had a different branded stick vacuum and to be honest it was more than fine. However I saw they were selling a Henry Quick on a TV channel one night and was so tempted. Next day I thought I'll compare prices with Argos. I'm glad I did as the Quick Pet was even cheaper (at the time) and comes with everything! The suction on this is insane! It's the first stick vacuum I have had to actually use the lower setting as the high is too much!! Meaning the battery will last way longer. It's sturdy and well made. I love the filter pod idea as there's no mess when emptying. The scent pod idea is nice but a little gimmicky, so I'm not sure I'll be buying any when the ones that come with this are used up.
If there are any downsides... One tiny little niggle is that when you don't have the motorised head turned on, the light goes out. As I don't use the motorised head on hard floors it's a little annoying. But as I say it's a tiny niggle and not a big deal. Other than that the vacuum is just what you would expect by Henry. I have a corded Henry and that's the best vacuum I've ever had. So this doesn't disappoint at all. As for the weight of it. I don't find it particularly heavy nor light as a feather. I can't see how you'd get such quality and be light as a feather anyway. It's about what you'd expect from a good quality stick vacuum. My 74 year old Father could use this no problem. I was also very surprised by how much quieter this was than my old stick vacuum which wasn't a cheap one. The attachments are good quality, I don't have pets but the Turbo Brush is ideal for things like vacuuming cars and mattresses etc. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend!
Quite large but the performance justifies it.
I hunted out a battery vacuum with a bag as I’m sick and tired of getting covered in dust when I empty out our old bagless machine. The other advantage of a bag is the machine can pick up flour or sawdust without getting clogged. The first big job I tackled was the car, we have a dog and this has been a long and wet winter. I really appreciated being able to use the extension in the boot area and the smaller pet head under the seats. The nozzle is a little thinner than my old model and gets in the gap by the sides of the seats. Next I tackled the stairs, again the extension made this a bit easier although I swapped over to the pet head and used it sideways. Finally the hall, bedroom and living room carpets. I thought “Obviously not as good as a mains powered machine” but when I switched on the booster I had my doubts, this is a very handy machine. All that pretty much filled the bag, there was more space but I could hear a difference in the sound so I swapped it out. Battery life is great, I’ve not seen it drop below 50%.
Size wise this is quite big, far bigger than my previous machine, heavier too
If I have a criticism it’s the mounting cradle. Note you need to attach the tool holder before you mount the plate. Plus the plate could do with having a thicker base to get the machine mounting hook further away from the wall. The machine came with a perfume disc, this covers up dog smell for about a fortnight.
Handy henry
it has now been 6 months with this vacuum cleaner. This is my first of many, first cordless, first "want" vacuum, first bagless, first rotating brush. So far, very happy. People are right when they say that you will clean more often with a cordless, as you just grab it and go.
The bag is also great. I suffered 10 years of bagless vacuum cleaners, getting filled with dust that would not come out, always having to disassemble, clean, spend days cleaning filters and waiting for them to dry. This really is as "quick" to change the pod as they claim. Feels like a sci-fi blaster when you do it!
The suction is.... OK. Though going from an ancient pre 1000w limit vacuum cleaner to a battery one, this is to be expected. This is balanced out by the head being quite small + the brush which does a fantastic job.
Talking about the brush, it is great on all sorts of surfaces, and having a light on the front is also useful. The battery also lasts an extremely long time, and has a moderately long charging cable.
For me though, the biggest drawback is the "hose", or lack of. when you remove the head, you are left with a very awkward shape piece which isn't that good for getting into corners etc. I highly recommend the additional "pro kit" with the flexible hose, to a point of it being an essential item. My floors have never been cleaner, by shelves and ceilings, not so much.

So ive had this henry for a month and i gotta say its worth every penny!

Overall, happy with Henry Quick!
I have mixed views, I love many things about the Henry quick but there are also a few things which I don’t love so much. The height and the weight of it is fairly tall/heavy, which I am ok with but it might be an issue for someone smaller/less able. I was really excited to use it handheld in the car, but it’s quite chunky so struggle to manoeuvre it and get into the nooks and crannies. I also find it a little tricky at times to detach, and my final and biggest gripe, it’s constantly falling over, wherever I rest it - so now I just lay it down on the floor when pausing. Now, I will list the pros as I don’t want to be negative Nancy.. the charge always lasts long enough for how I use it, the bag doesn’t fill up too quick, still not had to change it. The normal suction is plenty for average hoovering and the super suction is very strong. Easy to take apart to cut/remove hair from. Love that you can just remove the battery to charge without having to take the whole unit (as I sometimes leave the hoover in my car). Handle and grip are comfortable, moves around smoothly. Overall, happy with it, and it is my first cordless hoover so I’m not sure how it compares to others!
I LOVE my new "toy"!!!
After a long process of reviewing what cordless hoovers were available and considering other people's opinions, I ordered this Henry with a little trepidation. I am so pleased I did - this is amazing! The initial charge did not last very long (as expected) but, since I have recharged it, I have hoovered numerous times and still not needed to recharge the battery. I am very impressed with how it picked up debris (although shocked at what is collected in the pod - I thought I had a clean house!!). It is so easy to use and is easy to just pick up and hoover door mats and other high use areas which attract "muck". I have used it in the car but, must confess, I prefer the old Henry for versatility (personal preference not criticising new Henry!). It is a little on the heavy side but nothing to detract from its many positive attributes. It would be nice if it had the ability to remove hair from the roller as it works but, it is not an issue to remove the roller, cut the hair with scissors and then unpeeled hair. Bonus - it was on special offer and therefore £100+ cheaper than advertised.
Powerful little machine
Bought with £100 off and very pleased. Top heavy machine which may not suit everyone. I removed the handle extension as it felt more comfortable without. Normal power mode has a good suction and the turbo mode can lift the carpet so it’s powerful! The two tools hang on the wall fixture but the extra pet tool is kept separate as there’s nowhere in the holder for it. It would be good if the attachments had a place on the actual machine so that you don’t actually have to carry them if you need them. The charge seems to last for ages. Easy to wall mount and charge. Initially I thought it was too heavy but I’ve got used to it now. I haven’t needed to change the dust pod yet and I’ve been using the machine for about 3 weeks now. It has a light on the front of the foot and surprisingly helps. The foot attachment swivels as it’s pushed too. I’d definitely buy another and I’m happy with it.
Henry quick pet hoover is amazing
I bought this vacuum for moving house and couldn't be happier. We moved into a new house that already perfectly clean, the excitement of a new hoover quickly took over and I had to use it. After the first use it was evident that this is the best hoover I've ever used. The rotating brush gathered dust and hair that was in the carpet fibres really well. The boost function is fantastic for any stubborn dirt or hair and everything is easily removed for cleaning. It also has little scented rings for the vacuum that project a nice 'clean' smell when vacuuming and the pods, even though they look small, hold a significant amount of debris. On a full charge it's easily enough to hoover the whole house, even in boost mode but does require charging the battery after every heavy use. Plus it comes with a wall mount for easy, mess free storage. Couldn't be happier! Henry's done it again
Powerful - In boost mode
I purchased this vacuum cleaner based on recommendations and other reviews. Having used it for a couple of weeks now I have found the standard mode to be fine for light general use. However, when it encounters the fur my maulting cat tends to leave behind, or any dirt which is deeper in the pile then only the Boost mode appears to be effective. I guess that's the reason you this additonal mode - it is a battery zapper though and less than 30mins from a full charge. Standard mode you can expect to get around 1 hours use. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and think it compares well to other cordless vacuums available. None are as powerful as a traditional corded cleaner, but that is a sacrifice you make for convenience.
Works well, even with a fluffy dog.
I bought this about 6 months ago and I'm quite happy with it. I have medium-sized, fluffy dog who sheds professionally and it deals with her hair no problem on hard floors. On high speed mode it deals with it well on the carpet. Comes with good quality attachments, too.
I can see how costs might mount up if you were replacing the pods a lot. I empty the pods by hand occasionally to get more uses out of them. It's admittedly gross and probably not easy with big hands. Without emptying, one pod easily lasts 3 weeks even with the mountains of dog hair.
Battery's fine, only lasts 15 mins on high speed mode, but you can probably buy a second battery if you're passionate about both high pile carpets and sled dogs.
Fantastic buy highly recommended
We purchased this hoover before Christmas and it’s been a dream!! Was intending on buying the standard pull along Henry but with equal amounts of carpet upstairs we went for the upright wall mounted version and was the best decision we could have made. We had a shark previously but this is far better quality and switches really well from hard floor to carpet. The shark was good for carpets but poor in hard floor but this Henry is great and so light to get in under tables and take upstairs etc. capacity is great too and copes well with cat hair. Would 100% recommend this hoover plus the nectar points and click+collect made it even better!

Absolutely amazing vacuum cleaner. Suction is excellent. Even better than my old very expensive one. Alot lighter too. Battery lasts ages. Did the whole house & it still had more chatge left in.. Bin capacity is excellent. I like the idea of the bin not being dirty and not having to change filters. Room smells amazing because of the scent pods. Don't even need to use it on full power as at the lowest the suction is far better than my other. We vacuumed Thursday with old one, then used this one Friday. We were amazed how much it picked up when our dog hadn't even been here. Highly recommended to everyone. Just love it!!!!!
Not bad
The suction power of the vacuum cleaner is very good but the material is not very high quality. Especially the plastic pipe in the head part does not last long. Its worst feature is that it wraps the hair around the roller at the bottom base. As someone who loses a lot of hair, I made the wrong choice. I was late to send it back. The price-performance ratio is good. Since it is in a tote bag, you cannot see the dust. There are a total of 5-6 tote bags in the package. It is more logical to buy the one with anti-hair wrap instead of paying £300 for this. I do not want to take the product's right, but I do not recommend it.
Brilliant for a quick tidy up
I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s been a great addition to my house. So much easier to do a quick hoover with this than with the plug in Henry(which I also love). Makes it much quicker and easier to pick up day to day dirt. The best thing for me is that it picks up my hair which molts all the time. And I can use the pet foot on the carpet around where I brush my hair-and it genuinely picks up the hair with no effort. SO pleased! I’ve hated the extra layer of hair all over the carpets but this has fixed the problem. Highly recommend for ladies with long hair that sheds all.the.time!
Great vacuum
I have 4 pets and 2 young children so hoovering takes place multiple times a day. I was a bit concerned about the disposable bags but haven’t had to change it yet which is pleasantly surprising. On the low setting, this works well but really shines on the high setting. Suction is great and lifts the rug! If you have a high pile carpet, the brush might stop rotating but works fine in the lower setting. Clear indication lights for how much charge is left and lasts longer than I thought it would. I really like this vacuum and would recommend it to busy families with high traffic areas.
Ticks all the boxes
I have had corded, stick and lift away vacuums. My house has always been a challenge, due to carpets, Pets and grandchildren. Corded are too cumbersome, as are the lifts ways, and the small capacity of the stick vacuums and frequent emptying has always been a problem. However, this isn't a problem with the Henry. I have yet to empty it so cannot comment of how easy it is to do. I Also haven't checked the cost of replacement bags , but they seem to last a long time. So far I am very happy with it, and am considering buying one for my daughter
Really Good - Would Recommend (Already got hetty)
Really happy with this purchase, only downside is long hair is easily wrapped around the standard roller attachment. I have found the suction to be faultless and I'm happy with the battery life. I cant really smell the pods so wont be replacing them but otherwise I would recommend this. Its perfect for everyday use, I have 2 cats, a dog and a busy house with 2 children and its been a godsend rather than getting the big hetty hoover out. I have only today replaced the bag after it being used constantly for 3 weeks. This was quick aand easy to do.
Powerful capable not environmentally friendly
Bought this a few weeks ago, easy to set up and use. Powerful to cope with dog hair, so light and easy that you can do little and often and keep on top of the amount of dirt we have tramped in by people and dogs on a small farm, However, I did not realise how unsustainable the “pouches/bags” are, totally unrecyclable!!! Plastic! No way to reuse. Actually felt really cross with myself for not seeing this before I bought it!!! I’m sure a paper/card could be created by these clever people!! So why haven’t they!!
Great little vacuum
Was so fed up with my vacuum which had a hose not long enough, a cord not long enough. Filters which I could not find replacements for and who ever invented bag less !? Gross just nasty when emptying. So I have a small house and wanted something small powerful and clean. Not disappointed. Just grab it and whizz around. Not fussy about the changes in floor surface just gets the job done. Moves well and fits under furniture. Good attachments for when hand held. Battery lasts plenty long enough. Very happy.
