As a vacuum cleaner it performs very well, more than up to the task of cleaning a mixture of carpets and hard flooring in your average 3 bed house of a family of 4 plus a dog, just about reaches up the stairs with the extra long nose fitted and stretched to the max and only needs emptying after around 4 or 5 uses..
.... However....that said it's a bit cumbersome to use (although I see may other reviews saying it's light and easy to use) and the accessories are a pain, the long flexible hose that wraps round the back of the hoover when not is use never stays in place constantly coming off it's little holding hooks and location holes, and to fit the long flexible hose to the hoover to use it required you to remove another smaller hose which isn't a simple push on/off you have to unclip it and then attach the longer flexible hose and it only clips in one way get the orientation slightly wrong and it won't locate and as this is all at the bottom of the machine and you have to push the hose upwards it makes the whole process difficult and awkward plus the location clips feel weak and I suspect will break eventually, In Addition I personally find the hoover a bit cumbersome to push around (40 something active 6ft-er here) it may just be the thickness of our carpet's or that I'm weak!! but it's just clunky and a bit of a arm workout after 10 mins, plus the plastic wheels squeak when pushing it backwards and forwards literally from the first time I used it and hasn't stopped. Want a powerful yet clunky hoover and don't intend on using the accessories very often it'll be fine, however if you are maybe slightly older or use the accessories constantly this may not be the maxhine for you.

A noticeable improvement
We purchased this after recently adopting a dog and realising that our previous vacuum just wasn't doing the job. We had the shock of our lives when we vacuumed the living room for the first time with the new one and saw just how much stuff it picked up compared to the old one. It's much quieter than other vacuums I've had and used in the past (I'm deaf and can still manage to have a conversation with only slightly-raised-voices while it's on), doesn't feel like you're trying to wrestle it to get it to go where you want, and the hose tube reaches the very top of the stairs from the bottom step. We've also noticed that, in case there was ever a blockage, there are plenty of parts where we'd be able to get it out without having to disassemble the entire filtration system. The attachments are all helpful, and fit nicely on the vacuum so you're not searching round the house for one little hose attachment.
Lightweight. Excellent cleaning.
Purchased to replace a 30 year old upright Dyson which was heavy, noisy and "on its last legs". This Hoover is very lightweight, so easier to manoeuvre. The suction is surprisingly strong for a "cheaper" vacuum cleaner, and so far I'm very happy with the results. Easy to empty, and it has a long cable, which is handy.
My only criticisms are that the hose support bracket is in an awkward place, which means the cable support brackets are quite close together, so that when wrapping it up after use, it's a bit awkward to wrap it all around the brackets. It probably won't last 30 years like my old Dyson, but there again, neither will I! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for but I couldn't justify spending hundreds of pounds on a new Dyson.
Disappointing model and aftersales service
This Hoover was disappointing. The quality of manufacture and the aftercare service was not as as expected. The long stretch hose connector would not locate in the hose socket. This was due to a defective oversize of the securing clasps. The user manual does not give any part numbers. The email link for support was not available due to a security risk warning to this site. I called Hoover Candy Group services who promised me a replacement. A few days later they left me a message that they wanted a photo.
I called Argos complaints and they only recommended a refund! And no advice on insecure email link. Reluctant to make any future purchases for appliances from the Candy group or Argos.
Excellent cleaner
This is an extremely good Hoover that vacuums carpets and tiled/laminate floors brilliantly. There are various floor-type settings to choose from which ensures that the brush is set at the correct height. This means you get the maximum cleaning power without having to worry about damaging the floor surface. The tools that come with the Hoover are all good - my favourite is the crevice tool which can be extended, making getting rid of spider webs in the corners of ceilings a breeze. The hose to connect the tools to the Hoover is impressively long and stretchy.. You can vacuum a flight of stairs in one go without having to take the cleaner with you.

This is a great value for money hoover. I have a shoulder injury and the previous vacuum we had was too much to push around. Having two dogs I need to hoover everyday and the collection and filtration system on this Hoover is easy to manage and clean as the canister opens both top and bottom to clean out. The suction on this hoover is excellent so much so despite using the old vacuum on a daily basis the first two vacuums with this new hoover showed me how much the older one was not really doing such a great job. So recommended highly, easy to use, easy to clean out and does a super job and thats on a daily basis. Also great value for money.
It does the job!
I bought a month ago,and my first opinion was that it felt cheap and flimsy,however its light enough to carry upstairs which is good.
The suction is good,but you have to empty the cylinder after each use as it gets full very quickly if doing the living room,stairs and bedrooms.For the price its good,but definitely feels like a budget end vacuum compared to most other hoover vacuum cleaners ive come across in the past.But my previous one is a shark,so I guess im comparing the two.
But all in all it does the job,and sucks well,and the hose reaches the top of my stairs but its tight.A great little vacuum for someone starting a new home.
A disappointing Purchase.
I wanted a corded ,light vacuum cleaner as a replacement for a battery powered cleaner.
The name Hoover meant good products to me.
Unfortunately the cleaner I purchased was very disappointing. It is a large cumbersome ,heavy ,machine with hose attachments. The instructions were not helpful the large hose did not connect for machine storage, a small hose was missing ,plus a part received in the box was a mystery to myself and also the Hoover support contact.
Sadly I explained everything to Argos who promptly arranged pick of the Device within 24 hours. Also my payment was refunded.

Parts missing
Bought 3 weeks ago, two parts missing, one head for parquet floors and one hose, the short one that is important. When I rang to ask for them to be sent to me I was told to send it back , get a refund and order a different one in case there were parts missing again. I couldn't be bothered to go through all that so I attached the long hose, and it works fine but it's not the point, Hoover have always been a good brand, I'm very disappointed with them, and not being able to send me the missing parts made it worse. The hoover itself works fine, is lightweight and has good suction but again, I'm very disappointed with Hoover.
I tried it and don't like it and want a refund!
I have spent thousands of pounds in Argos. I took this out of the box. Tried it out and didn't like it. I used it for 5 minutes. I have EVERYTHING. The instructions, the box, everything. I don't like it. I previously bought a Dyson from Argos in 2018. It broke. I didn't think it could be fixed but I eventually got someone to fix it. It's twice as good. Now I have two and Argos will not take this Hoover back. How else can you decide if you don't like or want something unless you try it. This returns policy is against the customer. I want a refund!!!!
Not made like they use to be
I bought this hoover as I though they were great years ago but this is a night mare all the two rubber strips across bottom are tore and one has come off compleatly in bits its squeakes when you push it and then to top it all off the belt has snapped ive only had this hoover about 2 months and when you bought one back then you got a spare hoover belt .stay away hoover are not what they used to be things are made so cheaply theses days design has stayed the same but not the same hoover parts it's garbage

This this just over a week ago, works as it should - it’s a Hoover.
After having a cordless for a while this picked up ALOT,
Don’t think we will go back to having a cordless again.
The only thing I would say is - it said it is meant to come with some attachment but didn’t after some research we found out that the attachment is no longer supplied - almost took it back to the shop which would of been a wasted journey.
Maybe they should just stick a sticker on the box or something
Zero suction power!
I returned this item immediately, I have a thick pile carpet and this did not pick up anything. When I returned it to shop, was informed by staff that you won't get a decent hoover for £100 that'll work on thick carpets! I had read reviews before purchasing and most people said this was a decent vacuum, well it ain't. After long arguments I got a refund and went on to buy a shark. If you have hard floors I dare say this would be OK but is absolute naff on carpet.

really happy with this purchase, i was skeptical because of the price but upon reading the reviews i thought it must be a good hoover. The suction is really really good, the different options for different flooring types is also really good. The noise is lower than my previous hoover. i dont need it particularly for pets as i dont have any but it works really well on my carpets and rugs and also my kitchen/bathroom floors. would highly recommend.
Mostly excellent
I bought this about 6 months ago and it works very well, my only gripe is the pet hair attachment, I bought this model specifically for dog hair but the attachment can only be used on an exceptionally clean carpet if anything gets picked up by the attachment that isn’t hair it immediately blocks and it’s tricky and quite painful on the fingers to remove, also it’s quite small so takes a while to get a whole carpet done. Other than that I love it
Excellent product
I bought this item a few months ago, I just started using it, it was easy to assemble and works very well. I got it on sale and even with the original price it well worth the money.. Can't complain good suction it picks up even the smallest particles. The dust compartment holds a lot I have used it a few times and still not emptied it yet. It not to heavy easy to manoeuvre and the cord is very long. Overall very good product.
Good Hoover vacuum for the sale price.
Brilliant purchase for the price of 70 quid. Thought it was a well thought out product, design wise. All the attachments fit on it and is resonably powerful as well. Srairs hose is fairly long and does its job using the mini turbo vac tool on the end. Had a Hoover washer and was over the moon with that so knew this product wouldnt dissapoint. Like the subdued green colour as well and isnt in your face when stored in a room.
Great lighter weight vacum
Would be 5 stars because it is powerful and has plenty of uses and functions, however there were a couple of items clip type things that didn't have any clear instructions on what they actually are, and nothing online either. The hose function also doesn't have instructions how to attach it so you have to keep looking at photos and guess which i do not appreciate. But its powerful and the vacum itself is very useful.
Worse vac ever
I bought 2 of these one for my daughter and one for myself A part was missing but I wasn’t bothered But the vac itself is so very cheap and thin plastic the wheel fell of after first push and it wouldn’t go back on using the hose kept pulling the vac over it was a nightmare. Hoover was once the rolls Royce of vacs but this is honestly terrible I now know why it was so cheap. I couldn’t recommend this ever.
