The usual easy click and collect process from Argos, St.Austell - always friendly and efficient staff - the JBL Charge 6 exceeded my expectations just opening the box and feeling the quality of the product. After the simple charging by USB C, I connected to my phone via Bluetooth almost instantly paired, then got a really pleasant surprise... the sound was amazing from a relatively compact speaker, clear mids and crisp treble, with good instrument separation and a pleasing stereo image much bigger than I was expecting, then frankly the bass was outstanding, much deeper and more punchy than I could believe. I've owned many Bluetooth portables over the years, but this JBL is a quantum leap above all of them - superb sound, looks good, easy to operate and with £40 pounds discount a real hi - fi bargain. Would strongly recommend this speaker and buying from Argos...
punch and quality & a lower price than Bose or B&O
This was bought to listen to audiobooks in the car - I wanted affordable power as one or two other smaller “high quality Bluetooth speakers were drowned out by road nooose and even the aircon. Am delighted - it does that job perfectly being quite capable of being too loud. I rarely need it at much above half volume.
But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is decent at playing classical music and is usable as an “emergency PA for my piano keyboard when teaching. Not quite up to the standard of a Marshall Amp, but I don’t need a radio to carry it around. And excellent and punchy little speaker. Delighted.
Bang for your Buck
I bought this speaker about a month ago and it's utterly fantastic. The sound quality is not messing about. For the price there really isn't another speaker better than this in my opinion. The battery lasts ages, it's fully waterproof, and the handle is my favourite part. Just so easy to take everywhere and anywhere you want.
Argos was brilliant as usual, delivery was on time and product came in perfect condition. The bloke delivering parked his van in the front of my driveway for about 30 minutes which was annoying, but not the fault of argos!
Great sound and portable
I now have two of these set up for stereo (easy to set up in the JBL app) and the result is impressive. I only use them at moderate volumes (e.g. 30-40%) and they fill my living room with clear full music. I've listened to both classical (e.g. Mozart's Requiem) and recent (e.g. Beyonce's Cowboy Carter) and it all sounds great. Pretty good bass from such small units. Not having wires means I can put them anywhere, take them anywhere and still have great sound. Haven't needed to charge them yet so the battery clearly lasts quite a while.
Great little speaker
Battery life, loudness and base are great, it connects easily to my Android phone.
I seems durable as its waterproof and dustproof and it feels sturdy and solid, the only issue i can see is it's covered in fabric so it will get dirty and possibly stained.(Black would you probably be the best colour)
For the price "it is a great speaker" ... If you can get it cheaper then even better...

I’ve been using this speaker for a short while now and I’m genuinely impressed. The sound is clear and loud with strong bass, and it still sounds good even at higher volumes. The battery lasts really well and easily gets through a full day of use. It’s also very sturdy and feels well made, which is great for taking it out and about. Pairing was quick and easy, and overall it feels like a high-quality product that’s worth the price.
Nice speaker
I needed a portable speaker and tried this one. So far it has performed well. There is quite a good range of preset tones to choose from, and if you download the JBL portable app, which is quite simple to do, then you can use custom mode as well, which increases the sound versatility. There does seem to be a good range of bass and treble. The battery life seems ok, and so all in all this is a good portable speaker.
Top speaker for its size
Cracking little speaker, decent bass response & its loud for its size, buy 2 & use aura cast to create the stereo sound, download the JBL app n you can customise the eq's, the battery life so far is very good (I've only owned it for 4 days), its also solid & waterproof for 30 mins at a depth of 1 n a half metres sono need to worry if you leave it out in a drop off the wet stuff

I brought this item a month ago and I must admit it’s a great speaker. The JBL app is so easy to use and connect the speaker too.
It permits a lovely warm sound and the bass is very good on a speaker of its size.

All in all a good all round speaker.

Sounds good
Bought as replacement for flip 5 - nearly bought the 7, but the carry handle turned my partners head for mobility. Would have liked slimmer design, but I am reckoning the sound- especially bass wouldn’t have been as good. Not used app yet. Don’t think I’ll use the charge feature much doh! Seems to be doing the job so far - bought a month ago.

This speaker has a excelent sound quality no brainer when on sale, battery last long. I have the charge 5 also and I think the 6 feels lighter in weight. I would recomend this speaker as the sound its great portable also throw it in a bag and go. I would prefer shoulder strap instead of carry handle but otherwise cant fault it.

you pay for what ya get here, yes its pricy for a speaker.. but its pure quality, the sound is top notch for its size, and great to take anywhere in the world and have a long lasting battery life for any event, park beach someones house , your house ect .. have a party , you can use it anywhere and have a great sound..
Best portable speaker I ever had
Bought as a replacement for 10 years old disco lights JBL speaker, and it's been amazing so far. Double punchy base speakers and amazing quality. Built with quality, no cheap plastic etc - absolutely worth it. Didn't charge it once since I bought it, they claim more than 200 hours of music - could well be true.

For such a small speaker it packs a real punch. Wasn't expecting the sound, the bass, but since breaking this out at a party and the feedback from my guests. I'm just looking for excuses to take it everywhere I go. Absolutely brilliant for the cost
Good sound quality
Expense but that is reflected in its sound quality. Im not a fan of the preset equalisers. However there is the option to adjust this using the equalisers via the app and that's perfect for me. Amazing sound quality for its size.

I had the charge 5 before for 2 years and I wanted an upgrade. The charge 6 not only has great battery life but also great sound for its size. At its smaller size it sounds as good as one of the bigger ones. Great for its price.

This speaker sounds as good as a big speaker and genuinely is brilliant. The build quality on it is next level as well. Very rare to see a speaker or anything that is built to last these days but this definitely is.
